Musharraf vows to counter Zardari’s allegations
Rawalpindi, Aug 11 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf today said that he would prove the allegations of PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari false before the nation.
He made these remarks in meeting with a three-member delegation of PML-Q comprising Marvi Memon, Amir Muqam and Sheikh Waqas Ahmed.
The meeting lasted for an hour in which allegations levelled by Zardari against Musharraf came under discussion, the sources said.
Speaking on the occasion, Musharraf thanked the PML-Q for their support in the hours of need. “I will not disappoint you and face all the allegations of the ruling coalition,” Musharraf said.
About his differences with PPP, he said: “PPP wanted to bring its own men on some key positions, which I objected. PPP wanted to impose its own policy on Kashmir issue above the parliament.”
Musharraf further said that he had documented evidence in this regard, and added the nation would know about the facts in two to three days. (ANI)
