Musharraf says ISI not involved in Mumbai attacks

Pervez MusharrafLahore, Feb. 6 : Pakistan's former President General (r) Pervez Musharraf has said the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) does not have any hand in the Mumbai terror attacks.

The Daily Times quoted General Musharraf as saying, "ISI is doing the same job in Pakistan as the CIA and RAW are doing in the US and India."

He said that weakening the ISI or army was being done in a bid to weaken the nation, adding, India and Pakistan owed their ''survival'' to the their armed forces. The former president said during his government tenure, a 15-year plan had been prepared to meet the country's defense needs

He also claimed that Pakistan had documentary evidence of India''s involvement in the strife in Balochistan.

General Musharraf also said that the US could not be successful in the war on terror if it stops aid to Pakistan. (ANI)
