Mahabal Mishra asks voters to make Manmohan next PM
New Delhi, April 18: Congress candidate from West Delhi Mahabal Mishra today assured world-class urban infrastructure in his constituency and sought public support for re-electing Dr Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister in the coming election.
Addressing corner meetings in Baprola village, Jai Vihar, Bakarwala JJ Colony, Kotla Vihar, K S Nagar, Risal Garden, Shiv Vihar JJ Colony, the three-time MLA said provisional certificates issued to unauthorized colonies in West Delhi by the UPA government were aimed at bringing relief to them by providing basic facilities.
Mishra highlighted the good work done by UPA under Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Delhi government under Ms Dikshit and asked the area residents of backing the Congress so that their development initiatives continue over the next five years.
During his election meetings, he highlighted the leadership qualities of Dr Manmohan Singh and BJP’s priministerial candidate, L K Advani. He said while the Prime Minister was a leader who cared for all communities and religions, Mr Advani tries to create a divide between communities and garner vote on this ground.
He also raised issues related to aam admi while addressing residents in Balaji Chowk, Maharani Enclave, Hastsal village, T-Camp and jhuggi jhopri residents in Hastsal.
In another development, BJP’s Vikas Nagar block leader Ashok Pandey came out openly in support of Mr Mishra and promised to support him. During the day’s meetings, Mr Mishra was escorted by area leaders including MLA Nand Kishore and Jai Narayan Shehrawat, Rakesh Solanki, Ravinder, Ranbir, Virender Lakra and Tejvir Malik.
