KEC Intel Pockets Two Orders Worth Rs 227 Crore From PGCILKEC International, one of the largest Power Transmission EPC companies in the world, has secured two orders worth Rs 227 crore from Power Grid Corporation for supplying power transmission equipment.

In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the maker of power equipment said that it has received two 765 kV S/c projects in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra and in Punjab and Haryana from PGCIL.

Confirming the development, Ramesh Chandak (MD & CEO, KEC International) said, “We are delighted that our order pipeline is flowing continuously. Power Grid Corporation is very important customer for us.”

The firm received the first order to set up a 765 kv transmission line between Nandanwadi and Wardha, over 135 km, in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, while the second order is for a transmission line connecting Jattikalan in Haryana with Moga in Punjab.

Both the orders are likely to be finished by May 2011.
