“I Always Wanted To Act In Street Plays,” Says Vidya Balan

Vidya BalanBollywood beauty Vidya Balan likes to be a versatile thespian and desires to act in theatres and street plays.

While promoting her new movie, ‘Halla Bol’, which is to be released on January 11, the actress said, “I always wanted to act in street plays and theatres. I think it’s very potent media though I didn’t get a chance yet.”

Miss Balan has starred in the movie with Ajay Devgan.

The 26-year-old actress appeared at the climax of a street play being performed as prologue to the Rajkumar Santoshi’s movie, “Halla Bol.”

Before the release of Halla Bol, the play, directed by famous theatre artists Om Katare, would be presented in eight cities including Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Bhopal, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.

Balan said, “Halla Bol is made with complete honesty and hard work. I hope people would enjoy it.”

Vidya Balan has given her stunning performance in ‘Parineeta,’ ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Heyy Baby’ and ‘Bhool Bhulliaya’.
