The government has warned people regarding the deadly effects of mobile phone radiations.

The recently issued guidelines by the Ministry of Telecommunication suggested that the electromagnetic waves emanating from cell phones can gravely damage the tissues of the users’ brain.
Moreover, the report also said that children under 16 should be warned from using cell phones as the tissues of children are tender and are vulnerable to be more affected.
The draft guidelines recommended measures such as limited usage of cellular phones by children, pregnant women and people suffering from heart problems.
In India, the growth of mobile phones is increasing day-by-day, and it may cross 500 million mark by the next two years (2010-end). A big part of the users are children.
Lots of parents provide cell phones to their kids due to safety reasons, and to stay connected with them constantly.
The guidelines said that that mobile phones and radio terminals radiate Radio Frequency energy that heats up the tissues which can be harmful to human health.
During conversations, mobile phones are kept closer to the ear, so close to the brain causing worries that constant use of cell phones for longer periods may injure some brain tissues.
