Rev. Elvis Elano, a visiting Catholic priest ordained in the Phillipines, has been accused in a $25-million lawsuit of luring Judith Rodrigues-Lytwyn, a distraught divorcee into having a seven-month affair with him. In addition, Elano who was visiting Texas and had served in Brooklyn and Queens parishes in New York, has been barred by church officials from serving in the city.
Initially, the woman was reluctant to name the priest nor identify the parish in which the priest had served, but later she even provided photographs of the priest that showed him shirtless and kneeling next to her bed, another that showed them both embracing each other on a Long Island beach, a third that shows him clenching a rose in his mouth.
Wednesday night’s 11:00 p.m. half-hour campaign ad special on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart featuring Democratic presidential candidate – Barack Obama, pulled in its biggest audience averaging 3.6-million viewers, managed to beat its own 8th October record by 600,000 viewers, when Michelle Obama appeared on the show. 
West Hollywood neighborhood may be famously liberal, but when Chad Michael Morrisette, a professional window display designer dressed a mannequin to resemble Sarah Palin, the US Republican vice-presidential candidate, complete with trademark glasses and beehive hairstyle and, hung the effigy by the neck from the eaves of his home for Halloween, it proved too much for even the most liberal of its residents, and the subsequent growing frenzy of protestors and media attention forced him to remove it quickly. 
With appearances scheduled in eight key states, an optimistic Obama embarks on the final stretch of his presidential campaign, much buoyed by a half-hour prime-time television advertisement campaign 26-million Americans watched and after receiving an impressive endorsement from former president Bill Clinton.
The Neil Young concert that was to be held at The Forum, Los Angeles on Thursday night has been cancelled, as the 62-year old rocker-activist would rather cancel the show than cross the picket line, the striking local faction of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) union of which both Young and his wife are honorary lifetime members, plans to form there during the show against The Forum’s owner, Faithful Central Bible Church, due to disputes over contracts.
