Curfew in Kashmir to stop march

Authorities have imposed curfew in Srinagar to avoid proposed march by separatist groups to the Jamia Mosque in the old city.

"Curfew is in force throughout the city and no violations of the law would be allowed," a senior police officer said.

Educational institutions, business establishments and banks remained closed in the city after the prohibitory orders were clamped.

The separatist group led by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq had earlier called for a march to grand mosque in the old city, but the authorities did not allow them to do so.

They were demanding for boycott of assembly polls scheduled to be held on December.

Seven more detained in Assam Blast case

The Assam police has detained seven more persons from lower Assam's Nalbari district in connection with the serial blast.

They were being brought to Guwahati for interrogation.

Kandhamal tense due to the killing of RSS worker Dhanu Pradhan

The killing of RSS worker Dhanu Pradhan by un-identified extremists had triggered tension in the riot-hit Kandhamal district once again.

A mob of 2000 tribals gheraoed the Brahmanigaon police station and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

All shops and business establishments at Brahmanigaon  and villages near it remained closed.

Meanwhile the district administration has enforced prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPc in the local area as a pre-cautionary measure.

"We don't rule out escalation of violence in view of the murder," Director General of Police Manmohan Praharaj said.

Reshammiya’s Karzzzz Concert To Be Aired On Star Plus Star Plus will air the Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Karzzzz’ concert on November 9.

The ‘Karzzzz’ concert was held at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai on October 12.

Hosted by the Cyrus Broacha and Mona Singh, the show features the star-studded performance of Bollywood babes like Riya Sen, Amrita Arora, Amisha Patel and Neha Dhupia.

Other singers who performed in the event included Vineet, Aakruti Kakkar and Tulsi Kumar, daughter of late Gulshan Kumar.
