Doctors believe that a booster vaccination for parents of new babies and other household members can help in protecting infants from whooping cough. Doctors added that the infants were too young to have been vaccinated themselves as the first dose is given at two months of age with repeat doses at three months, four months and four years.

Recently two young babies died due to whooping cough at Royal Hospital for Sick Children, in Edinburgh. The infants contracted this infection from their parents or older siblings.

Mr. Ashok Kapur, Non-Executive Chairman of YES Bank, has been killed by terrorists in Hotel Oberoi in south Mumbai.

Mr. Ashok fell to the bullets of terrorists who had laid siege to Hotel for more than 40 hours beginning Wednesday evening.

His body was found on the 19th floor of the hotel, a YES Bank spokesperson said this evening.

Mr. Kapur along with his wife and friends had gone to the Oberoi for dinner on Wednesday at one of the restaurants on the ground floor.

His wife and friends, however, had a miraculous escape.

The Indian Cricket League has called off its World Twenty20 Series because of the latest Terror attacks in Mumbai. Kiran More Executive board member and tournament director said, “We have taken the decision of calling off the rest of the ICL World Series tournament. We believe that it is inappropriate to continue the series under the given circumstances. All players and officials are under appropriate security."

The tournament was left with virtually the semi-finals, and the final to be contested.

The league had already called off Thursday’s match between ICL Pakistan and ICL Bangladesh.
