As a latest step towards technological innovation, Lenovo Group wants to make an individual stand for itself. The company has released what according to it is the first dual-screen notebook computer.

Lenovo, the world’s No. 4 personal computer maker is launching this new laptop this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

It should be noted here that the demands for the notebooks have continued to show strength even when the overall PC demand has been hurt by the global economic slowdown.

It was announced by India's top mobile operator, Bharti Airtel on Monday that mobile services in Sri Lanka has been launched by it and the company would also invest $200 million on the operation in the island.

Via its subsidiary Bharti Airtel Lanka, the company has launched the services on a third generation network. A suite of innovative services and redefined affordability by offering attractive call rates has also been launched by Airtel.

On Wednesday, a digital media player with a built-in 500GB hard drive and support for HD video was introduced by Netgear.

The name of the Digital Entertainer Elite is EVA9150, which allows the user to watch videos, images and listen to music on their TV and stereo.

Furthermore, the users can also acquire access to Internet content, like YouTube, Internet radio, Flickr and RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds.

Since the bank lending has remained tight in the recent times, the sales of India's passenger car segment in domestic market declined for the fifth time in the last six months in December. The major reason was the slow economy which forced consumers not to purchase the new vehicles.

There was decline of 7% to 82,105 units in December in car sales from 88,272 sold in the same month last year.

The Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said on Monday, "Total automobile sales were down 18.2% at 597,622 units while exports grew by 33% to 138,258 units."

Since the Chinese authorities cracked down on online porn over the weekend, it shut down nearly 50 additional websites and also instructed Internet giants like Google to end any sort of links with such material.

It should be noted that as a part of a month-long campaign, that the government informs is aimed at stamping out online pornography, a total number of 91 sites have been shut down or blocked since Thursday.

The reporters on Monday were informed by an oil ministry official on the sidelines of the Petrotech conference that ONGC Videsh is close to buying a stake of up to 40 percent in the Satpayev block in Kazakhstan.
