It has been learnt that an electric version of Daimler's popular Smart car's batteries would be made by Tesla Motors Inc.

The customers would be able to buy the new version of Daimler's two-person Smart by the end of this year. Tesla, based in San Carlos and was initiated by Elon Musk, makes and sells an electric sportscar called the Roadster. At one point of time, Tesla even eyed New Mexico as a site for building its manufacturing plant.

It was recently informed by Reliance Industries (RIL) that it is facing "irreparable harm and injury." The blame for it is being put on a resource crunch caused by investments into the Krishna-Godavari basin.

The company said that if Anil Ambani group wins the case then RIL is ready to re-route gas to Anil Ambani group.

Two deals have been signed by Infrastructure Development Finance Co Ltd's unit IDFC Projects Ltd with Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Gujarat State Energy Co Ltd, said IDFC on Tuesday.

Under these deals, a 200 mega watt thermal power project in association with BHEL in two phases would be built, owned and operated by the company.

Via a statement, the company also informed that IDFC Projects would also set up another 10 mega watt solar power project.

A novel authorized reseller program for Google Apps is being launched on Thursday by Google that will allow partnered businesses enfold Google Apps with their own services in special bundles that can be resold. Things like localized customer service, hardware installation, file migration, and special hosting for things that fall outside of Google's built-in Sites service would be included in it.

The third quarter of 2008 saw worldwide mobile WiMAX infrastructure revenues ramping up as compared to the same quarter the previous year.

The news has been backed up by analyst firm the Dell'Oro Group.  Scott Siegler, senior analyst of mobile infrastructure research at Dell'Oro Group reported, “With LTE still a couple of years away, WiMAX has become the first next-generation technology with commercial service. Mobile WiMAX revenues were very strong in the third quarter of last year, and we anticipate revenue for the fourth quarter to set another record.”
