Year-end to see third small car by GM The end of 2009 will see launch of a third small car by General Motors, the fifth largest car manufacturer in the country. The auto major has been enjoying the success of its two car brands, Spark and U-VA in India market.

It was reported by Karl Slym, President & MD, General Motors, India at the launch of the company's bestselling SUV Chevrolet Captiva Automatic, "The new Chevrolet Mini will not be a competition to Tata Motors Nano. We are not in the numbers game. It will be positioned above the Chevrolet U-VA."

SAP, IBM to roll out first joint software "Alloy" in MarchOn Monday, IBM, the world's largest technology services company, and German software company SAP AG announced that they are thinking to launch their first jointly developed software product in March.

SAP said, "The software -- called Alloy -- combines IBM Lotus Notes software with SAP Business Suite and will be sold by both companies."

Acer Aspire 10-inch to be out soon Acer's most popular netbook, the 8-inch Aspire one, has been launched. However, as they say, every rose has a thorn, this incredibly small netbook too has some flaws. For starters, many feel that an 8-inch screen would apparently be too small and they expect a netbook with at least 10-inch screen.

But it would be really nice to know that soon Acer would come out with 10-inch version of the same model. Though there has been no word on pricing or availability, it has been learnt that the machines with 10-inches screen will run on the Intel Atom N280/N270.
