Sensex Bounces Back; Down 125.94 PtsThe Sensex bounced back and was trading off from day’s low this afternoon.

Buying and selling was witnessed in some of the select stocks. IT, metal, banking, power and realty stocks led the declining charts.

BSE Midcap gained 0.43% and 1.04% respectively.

Among the sectoral indices, BSE IT index hit badly after plunging 3.84% followed by Metal, which declined 2.49%, Power and Bankex lost more than 2% each.

The 30-share index, BSE Sensex, today (Dec 12), belled the day with a loss of 274.59 points, at 9,370.87.

Bangladesh party unveils "charter for change"

"The country is now passing through a deep crisis. Our commitment is to build Bangladesh as a modern democracy, free from hunger, poverty and illiteracy," the party chief said, announcing the party's platform for the December 29 general elections.

‘Desperate Housewives’ to add two more seasons?

Washington, Dec 12: American writer and producer Marc Cherry has revealed that he is in talks with ABC to continue the hit drama ‘Desperate Housewives’ for another two seasons.

On viewing the ratings the show got, Cherry, 46, wanted to extend it further, and revealed his plans at a cake-cutting ceremony for the show''s 100th episode.

“I started recently talks with (ABC Entertainment president) Steve McPherson and (ABC Studios president) Mark Pedowitz about continuing the show for a ninth season,” the Hollywood Reporter quoted Cherry as saying.

“We''re going to find a way to make it work,” he stated.
