Beijing/ Onboard Air India One, Oct 26: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh met his Chinese President Hu Jintao on the sidelines of the seventh two-day Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit in Beijing on Saturday.

Dr. Singh said the Chinese President agreed with him that the two countries would be able to achieve the trade target of 60 billion dollars set for 2010.

Sydney - A slowing economy may compel Australia to tighten its borders, Immigration Minister Chris Evan said Sunday.

The nation's immigration will be reassessed by the government next month when the mid-year economic data is released.

The global financial crisis has resulted in an increased interest in migrating to Australia, especially from Britain and New Zealand.

"I think the downturn in Great Britain over the last year or two has actually seen a renewed interest from Great Britain in people looking to migrate either temporarily or permanently," Evan told Channel Nine.

London, October 26 : A new study conducted by researcher at the University of Florida suggests that wolves, not dogs, are the clever ones.

Study leader Monique Udell and her colleagues worked with a mixture of pet dogs, dogs from animal shelters that had had minimal interaction with people, and wolves raised by humans.

The researchers exposed their animals to an experiment in which they were shown two upside-down cups, one of which covered food. A human would then gesture in some way at the cup covering the food.

The experiment was conducted with the presumption that if the animal being tested was properly interpreting the gestures, it should have been lured to the object that the experimenter was indicating.

Onboard Air India One, Oct 26 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh while talking to reporters on board his special aircraft on his way back to New Delhi from Beijing, has expressed concern about the ongoing inflation and financial crisis.

Dr. Singh said: "To say that I am not worried would not be correct. Being a Prime Minister, it is my duty to be worried when things don''''t move as planned."

Onboard Air India One, Oct 26 : Speaking on recent violence in Maharashtra and its backlash in Bihar, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has appealed to all political parties and all men and women to realise the gravity of the situation fanning regional tensions.

"I don''t want to criticize any government while I am on foreign soil, but it is very unfortunate that these incidents have taken place. Tribal animosities are an act of disservice to our country. All of us have an obligation regardless of our political affiliations to do nothing, which will work against the unity, integrity and social cohesion of our country," Dr. Singh said while talking to reporters.

Washington, October 26 : An ongoing study by members of “the Palin Watch” at The University of Alabama suggests that the media coverage given to the first Republican vice-presidential candidate is quite similar to that received by her Democratic counterpart Geraldine Ferraro, who became the first ever female candidate representing a major party in 1984.
