New Delhi, Oct 27: An all-party delegation headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here today to submit a joint memorandum demanding action against the "divisive forces" that attacked railway job aspirants from Bihar in Mumbai.

A delegation comprising Union Ministers, Parliamentarians and leaders of various political parties in Bihar will meet Dr. Singh at five p. m. today.

An all-party meeting on October 23 had expressed anguish over the attack on north Indian examinees by activists of Raj Thackeray''s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

They unanimously decided to submit a joint memorandum to Dr. Singh in this regard.

Chennai, Oct 27: India will provide 800 tonnes of relief material to the civilian population in conflict-hit Sri Lanka to areas where Indian origin Tamil population is predominant, this was disclosed by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

A joint statement issued here on Sunday after talks between Mukherjee and Special Advisor to Sri Lankan President, Basil Rajapakse says that the Sri Lankan Government will facilitate the delivery of the relief material.

The Indian side called for implementation of the greater devolution to powers to the provinces as the issue of negotiated political settlement in the north came up for the discussion in the meeting.

London, Oct 27: Scientists has called for a ranking system for proposals to repair the damage done to Earth’s climate.

When it comes to repairing damage done to the Earth’s climate, there’s no shortage of ideas, ranging from schemes to put “sunshades” in orbit to burying the offending carbon dioxide underground.

According to a report in New Scientist, Philip Boyd of the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research in Dunedin, New Zealand, has said that ideas won’t be enough. So, there is an urgent need to rank those proposals to work out which should undergo rigorous testing.
