Foxwoods Resort officially announces opening of Pequot Woodlands Casino
Foxwoods Resort, a gambling-friendly venue operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation on its reservation in the Ledyard area of Connecticut, recently announced the opening of the new Pequot Woodlands Casino.
Opened earlier this week in the center of the tribal complex at the Grand Pequot Concourse, the Pequot Woodlands Casino is the latest addition to the fast-expanding Connecticut gaming property. It offers more than 430 slot machines, two dozen table games, and a state-of-the-art 40-seat bar. The list of games includes blackjack, craps and roulette.
The interior of the new 50,000-square-feet facility features a Pequot-themed design. There are several wood and tree-like designs inside the new gambling-friendly property, while peeping out of the windows provides a look of rural woodlands. In addition, there is a separate high-limit slot room that measures roughly 12,000 square feet, offering some 130 gaming machines.
Jason Guyot, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Foxwoods Resort Casino, said in a statement that the new facility brought brand new products, including newest games that are best in terms of technology. That is not just in the high-limit area, that is available throughout the entire casino. Describing the machines as top of the line and state of the art products, the top executive revealed that one of the gaming machines is 14 feet in height. He stressed that the gaming machines are very interactive and immersive.
Speaking on the topic, Guyot added, “We want to make sure we have diversity in offerings, and we have very strong relationships with most of the providers, whether that’s IGT, Aristocrat. We now have some Novomatic games that are going to be on the floor. We’re excited to roll this out to the guests and they’re going to be drawn right in.”
According to the top executive, having enough access and diversity is the key to pleasing patrons. Some gaming machines at the new facility feature 145-inch vertical LED screens, which promises easy access and interaction.
Multiple new restaurants are next to the Pequot Woodlands Casino, including the widely-famous Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, which offers even an exclusive private dining room. Wahlburgers, a burger restaurant and bar chain operated by actor Mark Wahlberg and his family, are also adjacent to the new gambling-friendly facility. Some prominent billboards are also announcing the arrival of some more dining options close to the new casino.
