In a new announcement, bigwig automaker Ford has revealed that, at a March 4-scheduled function in New Delhi, it will rollout the Figo Celebration Edition to mark the third anniversary of the launch of the hatchback in India.
The Ford Figo was launched in India in 2010, and is one of the US automaker's best-sellers in the country. The hatchback was given a facelift by Ford last year; with the result that the sales performance of the car continues to remain noteworthy.
According to reports, the Figo Celebration Edition to be launched by Ford will boast a few cosmetic changes both on the exterior and the interior. The outside changes coming aboard the celebration edition will likely include a rear spoiler, skirts and some graphics; while the inside changes will probably include an overhauled upholstery and new knobs and stalks.
In addition, some of the other changes which Ford may introduce for its forthcoming Figo Celebration Edition may include alloy wheels and celebration edition badges, among other things.
So far as the engine line up and underpinnings for the Figo Celebration Edition is concerned, reports have revealed that these will remain the same. The car will have the same 1.2-litre 75bhp petrol mill and the 1.4-litre 70bhp diesel mill as the currently-available version; with a speed manual transmitting the power of the front wheels.
