Family cars can now become money making machinesFamily car, with the use of this latest technology, can now become a money minting machine.

The technology, which has been developed in the US, allows the cars to use stored power, which can then be sold like electricity, for money.

The new technology was unveiled during the annual meeting of American Association for the Advancement of Science. Here the scientists showed how the power generated in cars can be shifted to power grids.

Talking to a private media agency, AFP, Ken Huber, Head of the Oversees Technological Development at PJM Interconnection said that the technology they are showing is a concept vehicle and this is the first one that has been paid to take part in the event.

PJM looks after the wholesale selling of electricity in 13 states across US.

The technology is called vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and other hybrid cars using this technology are already present in the US. It is also becoming popular in Europe.

Experts believe, that by selling this power the user can earn close to $5-$10 for every watt sold.

Surely is a good option for the Americans who are bugged by their oil guzzling machines.
