Exide industries Q1 net profit up by 35%
Stored energy solutions provider Exide Industries has reported its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010 and has managed to post an impressive rise in the net profit figure.
Exide Industries has posted a net profit of Rs. 249 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010. This net profit figure has grown up by 35% in this quarter as compared to the same quarter in the last fiscal. In the last fiscal year it has posted a net profit of Rs. 191 crore for the same quarter.
Exide Industries has informed this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
It has also informed that, the gross sales have gone up by 30% during the first quarter of the financial year. The gross sales of the company was stood at Rs. 1, 410 crore during the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2010-11.
It was found out to be Rs. 1084 crore for the same quarter in the preceding year.
In this year there have been strong sales in the commercial vehicles and tractor segment along with the motorcycle battery segment.
