Japanese automobile major and the global market leader in the automobile sphere, Toyota Motor Corporation has confirmed that the company will launch its new small car 'Etios' in December this year. While the sales are expected to begin in January next year, the company has so far not confirmed that whether the first model could be the sedan version or the hatch version of the product.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd Deputy Managing Director Sandeep Singh recently said that the company is setting up a new facility for our new car, 'Etios', which will be completed soon and the production will start a little ahead of December.

Moreover, Singh also mentioned the fact that the product will be launched in December this year. It is to be mentioned here that the company has invested close to Rs 3,200 crore to set up a new facility for production of the small car, with an initial capacity of 70,000 cars per annum. While the company expects to 65,000-70,000 cars in the first year, the total capacity of the plant can be extended to 2 lakh units per annum.
