Madrid  - Police in the northern Spanish city of San Sebastian found a cache of weapons belonging to Basque separatist group ETA late Tuesday.

The arsenal in the locality of Ordizia included pistols, rifles, grenades and ammunition, the authorities said. However a thorough examination of the contents would only be possible on Wednesday, because police suspected it may have been booby-trapped.

The terrorist group on Friday had threatened to continue acts of violence as it marked its 50th anniversary. (dpa)
