Draftfcb Ulka bags Hero Honda’s CWG account
After expressing its interest in sports like Cricket, Golf and Hockey, Hero Honda is now planning to take it big as the company will also be a sponsor at the Common Wealth games 2010 happening in the Capital this year.
Notably, the advertising agency Draftfcb Ulka has won the creative duties for Hero Honda Motors' Commonwealth Games 2010 sponsorship project. It may be noted here that this account also provides the account of the Queen's Baton Relay of Hero Honda wherein the two-wheeler major is a presenting partner - national sector for the CWG 2010.
In fact, experts are pegging the account to somewhere close to Rs. 50 crores. It is believed that the tussle was between Hero Honda's empanelled agencies, JWT, Percept/H and Draftfcb Ulka that the company generally considers for such special projects that go beyond its image pertaining to a single brand.
With Hero Honda standing as a sponsor for the baton relay that is expected to cover the length and breadth of the relay, it is expected that it will give the two-wheeler maker marketing rights, advertising, promotion and recognition to connect with its consumers.
