This Boston area Doberman ate three watches. Last Thursday, Jeff Courcelle came home and found that Mocha, 5, was revolving around a pile of screws, metal pieces, three watch heads and some chewed leather straps.

Courcelle called his wife, Michele Parkinson, and told her that he is concerned what Mocha has done. It was then found that the 80-pound Doberman has pulled down a basket of wrist watches from the couple’s bedroom and ate almost everything of the watches.

The couple concerned about their dog’s health took Mocha to the MSPCA's Angell Animal Medical Center, a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. The doctor there performed a 3-hour endoscopy procedure to find out the contents in Mocha’s belly.

It is not the first time that Mocha has done something like this. Last summer, she fell quite sick and an emergency stomach surgery had to be carried out on her. After which it was found that a plastic from an orange juice container perforated her intestine.

Due to these activities, she had 28 stitches down her belly and 10 inches of her intestine removed. In this case, Mocha was lucky as watches’ pieces have not passed to her digestive tract and were still present in her belly.

MSPCA spokesman Rob Halpin said that the veteran removed, “about a pound of leather straps and metal pieces and detritus” during the endoscopy procedure.

Parkinson said that her husband was quite excited about the new Apple watch, but they did not have any justifiable reason to purchase as they already had three. She said she is now convinced that her husband and Mocha joined forces to destroy all of Courcelle’s current watches, so Apple’s new watch can come.
