Delta Air Lines adds new shuttle on NY – Chicago routeDelta Air Lines Inc. is set to expand its portfolio as the World's largest airline plans to add a new shuttle service between New York's LaGuardia and Chicago's O'Hare airports, the company announced today.

As per the announcement, the air carrier would take up 11 round trips everyday. The move intends to grab regular business class passengers of the particular region.

Atlanta-based Delta said in a statement that the new shuttle service will replace its existing and less frequent service connecting the two places LaGuardia and Chicago Midway. The company has set a deadline of June 10 to start the new service.

Delta is eyeing to improve its profitability by wooing the business customers as it has moved ahead to increase its market strength in the New York travel market. Business travelers often pay a premium for their seats due to premium service offerings and, in part because they tend to purchase tickets at the last-minute, when fares are higher.

Delta also announced today that it is adding more flights from Los Angeles to four U. S. cities including Hartford, Connecticut.
