Crude oil prices end the week under $74On the New York Mercantile Exchange, the price for a barrel of crude oil closed at $73.78, off $1.70 or 2.33 percent on Friday.

MarketWatch. com has reported that despite the down session, crude oil prices ended the week up 3.1 percent, rebounding after prices tumbled by more than 4 percent last Friday.

Off about 2.75 cents, home heating oil settled at $2.0053 a gallon. Gasoline finished the trading session down about 2 cents, closing at $2.0497.

Adding 13 cents to end the session at $4.781 per million British thermal units, bucking the downward trend was natural gas.

According to the reports of AAA, at the pump, the national average price for unleaded regular gasoline fell to $2.704 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $2.706. (With Inputs from Agencies)
