Cricket South Africa refuses to host Pakistan ‘A’ team

Cricket South Africa refuses to host Pakistan ‘A’ teamKarachi, Apr. 18 : Cricket South Africa (CSA) has refused to host Pakistan `A' team's tour citing a busy cricket calendar, the Dawn reports.

The CSA has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

"The South Africans have informed us that they will be unable to host our A team this year as they are hosting the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Champions Trophy," PCB's Director (Game Development) Aamir Sohail said.

As per schedule, the Pakistan `A' team was to play three four-day games and five one-day internationals after a three-day practice game in August-September.

The CSA's refusal is seen as a blow to the PCB efforts to to raise a competitive second string team prior to the 2011 World Cup. (ANI)
