According to reports, mobility solutions provider, Carzonrent, in Delhi has bought a fleet of 90 customized C Class cars, from the German auto giant Mercedes Benz.

Also, this is said be a major single deal that has been made by the company in the country and the customized-class Mercedes, will be selling at over 28 lakh.

Peter T Honegg MD and CEO, Mercedes Benz India, said, “This deal as a followup to a similar deal in 2008, affirming the quality and durability standards of a Mercedes car and some of the cars that are used by Carzonrent have been driven for over 180,000 kms and are perfectly fine”.

However, the deal has made Carzonrent the single largest owner of Mercedes cars in India with an entire fleet of more than 160 cars, and the 90 cars will be used by the company to attend to ‘high flying clients of Emirates Airlines in India’.

Moreover, in the world, about 15% of all Mercedes cars that are sold are mostly used for fleet operations, but the practice is not that pervasive in India. Apart from Carzonrent, Mercedes supplies to two other fleet operators in the country, though it believes the extent for growth is extensive.
