London, Aug 14 : Britons are chatting like never before, says a new research, which found that the natives are spending a record amount of time chatting on the phone.
According to the study, they spent a total of 247billion minutes on the blower last year, up from 233billion in 2006, reports The Sun.
More calls are made from mobiles, with landline use falling.
They spend an average ten minutes a day talking and texting on a mobile — twice the 2002 figure.
But one in ten people with a landline say they never use it.
