Blue Rocks unveils new Hot Dog

On Wednesday, the Blue Rocks has rolled out a new food item, a hot dog called the doughnut dog. The hot dog has been covered with raspberry jam and bacon served on a Krispy Kreme doughnut bun. The Blue Rocks has not named the hot dog yet and also didn’t disclose how it was made. It is also unclear that how many calories are in the new food item.

The Blue Rocks, which is based in Delaware, has started a contest to name the food. Spencer Graves of WSTW 93.7FM tweeted, “I'm really excited for all of you to try the ‘unnamed donut dog’ @WilmBlueRocks this season.”

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc., a doughnut company based in Winston-Salem, said that one of its original glazed doughnuts have about 190 calories. As per the online weight loss club calorieking.com, a five-inch hot dog could have about 165 calories, while a medium slice of bacon can have 46 calories. Adding to that, a tablespoon of jam has about 56 calories.

As per some reports, shares of North Carolina based Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (KKD) could trade in red on Thursday. Earlier, the company had reported weaker than expected fourth quarter revenue figures. For the same period, the company reported in-line profits, but it missed analysts' estimates on the top line. The doughnut company and coffeehouse chain said that fiscal 2016 earnings could also be below the estimation of analysts.

Krispy Kreme noted that the company’s outlook has already reflected the lower gasoline prices which could benefit operating costs for the full year. After reporting its earnings results, the shares of the company came under pressure on Wednesday.
