Apple newest iPhone goes on sale in in 11 countries on Friday
Technology giant, Apple has announced the launch of the newest version of its iPhone smartphone in a total of 11 countries on Friday.
Experts have said that the company might be able to sell as many iPhones over its launch weekend as it sold during the previous year because the initial launch includes the giant telecom market of China this time. Apple has indicated that it will launch the newest version of its iPhone smartphone in China on the same as it is launched in the American market.
Apple generally launches its devices first in its home market with some developed markets and expands to the emerging markets. This takes months before the new devices reach customers in the developing nations such as India and China. However, the company has now decided to launch the device in China on the same day as it will be launched in the US, Japan and Europe for the first time.
Apple didn't offer pre-orders for the iPhone 5S and decided to offer the device online and in its stores from Friday. Some expect the company to sell around 6 million iPhones this launch weekend till Sunday.
