84-year-old woman skydives from10,000ft for charity
London, October 30 : An octogenarian woman performed skydiving to raise 3,000 pounds for the charity Brendoncare, which helps to improve the quality of life for older people.
Eighty-four-year-old Doreen Oury jumped from an aircraft flying at a height of 10,000ft.
She was strapped to a skydiver for the jump at the Netheravon military airfield, near Salisbury, during which she reached speeds of 120mph.
The woman described her experience of skydiving as “fantastic”.
“It was an amazing experience and I enjoyed every minute. This was something I needed to do for me, and it was lovely that I could raise money for Brendoncare,” Times Online quoted her as saying. (ANI)
