Suspected Saudi wanted terrorist surrenders to authorities Riyadh - A Saudi terrorist suspected of recruiting foreign militants for the al-Qaeda network in Iraq surrendered to Saudi authorities, the Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

Fahd Rikad Sameer Al-Ruweili, 31, who is also suspected of smuggling weapons to al-Qaeda in Iraq, ranks as number 61 out of a list of 85 most wanted terrorist suspects issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry earlier this month.

French Foreign Minister Bernard KouchnerRiyadh  - French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner arrived in Riyadh Sunday for talks on key regional issues.

He and Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal were to discuss issues including Gaza, Palestinian reconciliation and Lebanon ahead of the parliamentary election there on June 7.

Other subjects would be the Iran nuclear issue and developments in Afghanistan and Sudan, informed sources said.

The meeting brought together Abdullah, Syrian President Bashar al- Assad, his Egyptian counterpart Hosny Mubarak and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah.

It was held to iron out relations among the Arab states ahead of Qatar's Arab summit at the end of the month.

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Feb. 19 : The Saudi Arabian Government and the country's investigators continue to see a jailed Muhammad al-Awfi, a one-time Guantanamo Bay detainee, as a major threat to world peace, even from prison.

According to Fox News, al-Awfi was captured by Yemeni authorities and transferred to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. He was an Al Qaeda field commander in Yemen after his release from a Saudi "rehabilitation" program.

Abu al-Hareth Muhammad al-Awfi lived quietly in Saudi Arabia for a year after his release from Guantanamo Bay in November 2007, but he re-emerged last month in a jihadist video that showed him in Yemen, wearing a bandolier of bullets and threatening the United States.
