Qureshi says foreign hand behind attack on Lankan team in Lahore

Shifting of officials not related to Lahore attacks: Punjab GovernorLahore, Mar 24 : Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has disclosed that traces of foreign powers' involvement were found in the attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team, and that there was much progress in the probe being conducted in this regard.

According to him, "saying something else on this issue will be premature. Let the probe be completed."

Other countries in the region — India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh — also figure on the index, a list of countries where journalists are killed regularly and governments fail to solve the crimes.

ROUNDUP: Suicide bombing kills a policeman in Pakistani capitalIslamabad  - A policeman was killed and several people were injured on Monday in a suicide bombing outside an office of the police's intelligence wing in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, security officials said.

The bomber blew himself up when a police guard stopped him at the gate of the police's special branch, located in the heart of the city, just a few hundred yards away from the headquarters of the premier military Inter-Service Intelligence agency.

1ST LEAD: Blast kills one in Pakistani capital Islamabad - At least one person was killed and several more were injured on Monday in an explosion outside an office of the police's intelligence wing in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, an eyewitness said.

"It was apparently a suicide bombing," said Ramzan Ahmad. "The bomber blew himself up when he was stopped at the gates of the police' special branch office."

Ahmad said he saw at least one body at the site of the attack. Several victims were moved to the hospital by rescue teams while police cordoned off the site.
