Islamabad, Mar. 28 : The current situation in Pakistan may not be in favour of President Asif Ali Zardari, and critics may have termed him as a `failed' and `weak' leader, but Zardari himself is confident that he can overcome all difficulties.
In a rare interview with Sky. com, Zardari vowed to make Pakistan a better and stronger country in the near future, and adding it can still win its struggle against terrorism.
He announced that the battle to counter terrorism is now Pakistan''s war.

Since the screening of Indian films has been adversely affected following the Mumbai attacks, Cinema owners believe Lollywood should introduce better films to restore its image and regain viewers, the Daily Times reports.
Islamabad, Mar. 23 : Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is keen to ensure a smooth passage of his address to the joint sitting of parliament, scheduled for the first week of April to set off new parliamentary year.
Zardari told Prime Minister Gilani to make sure that there is no protest or walkout when he addresses the joint sitting, The Nation reports.
Gilani has already launched efforts to arrive at a consensus with opposition parties.

Islamabad, Mar. 23: Following Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raja Gilani’s reconciliation meeting with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, the Shahbaz Sharif government in Punjab may be restored within a week, The News reported.
The Pakistan Government will move the Supreme Court to grant a stay order against the earlier decision to disqualify the Sharif brothers on February 24.
Karachi, Mar. 23: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has virtually imposed a ban on all the non-governmental organizations (NGO) working in the Swat Valley, as it has asked them to leave the region immediately.
The TTP has said the way of working of the NGO’s was against Islam and it is not acceptable to it.
“NGO is another name for vulgarity and obscenity. They hire women who work with men in the field and in offices. This is totally un-Islamic and unacceptable,” TTP spokesman, Muslim Khan said.
Khan strongly opposed the presence of foreigners in the region.
