Islamabad, Mar 24 : Pakistan’s Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry has said that the real judiciary has been restored after a long time and now the dignity of the court and institution would have to be restored besides the judiciary would have to be cleaned of corruption.
Speaking after resuming work today , the Chief Justice gave this remark during hearing of a case at Court No. 1.
Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry said that irregularities would not be tolerated in dispensing justice.
Rawalpindi, Mar 24: Security was tightened across Pakistan after intelligence agencies warned that Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud has dispatched 20 foreign militants, mostly Uzbeks, to carry out terror strikes in major cities.
A senior police official said agencies had warned police that the terrorists had left for Bannu on their way to Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and other major cities.

Peshawar, Mar 24 : US special representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke has said that Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's Balochistan province, appears to be the Talibans headquarters.
Holbrooke made it clear that "the number one problem" in stabilising Afghanistan were Taliban sanctuaries in western Pakistan, including tribal areas along the Afghan border and cities like Quetta.
