Pak Taliban declares economic support under BISP to women as ‘haram’Khar, Apr 6 : The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Bajaur Agency has declared that the money provided by the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to women as "haram and un-Islamic".

The TTP also warned the women against getting the BISP support money or having Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) made.

12 Taliban surrender, six killed in Bajaur Army operationKhar, Nov 11: Around 13 Taliban fighters were killed and several injured in a Pakistani Army operation in Swat and Bajaur on Monday.

According to official sources, five of the Taliban, including a local commander, were killed in clashes in Moragai and Shalkho areas of Matta tehsil, while another two were killed in a separate clash in Swat’s Kabal tehsil.

Khar (Pakistan), Nov 10 : At least eight members of a banned terrorist outfit - Amar Bil Maroof - were killed and three injured in Pakistan’s Khar Agency when NATO jets bombed Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency last evening.

The NATO jets targeted hideouts of the banned outfit in the Moga area near Torkham. Amar Bil Maroof spokesman Munsif Afridi confirmed that those who had died were members of his group, the Daily Times quoted a TV report as saying.

He said that 10 Afghan soldiers had been killed in a gunbattle with his group at the Torkham border earlier in the day.

BajaurKhar, Nov 7: Around 22 tribesmen were killed and 45 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a Salarzai jirga in the Bajaur Agency last evening.

A man claiming to be a member of a not-s-well-known organization ‘Karwan-e-Nematullah’ accepted responsibility for the attack by calling up journalists on phone.
