Kathmandu, Jan 30 : Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda has alleged that international forces have been making trouble in Terai districts by creating a number of factions.

Addressing a gathering here on Thursday, Prachanda claimed the foreign powers are playing with the fluid situation in Terai districts.

The gathering included party''s central leaders, members from state committees and party-near intellectuals - all from the Madhesi community.

Kathmandu, Jan 30 : In the wake of deepening controversy over fresh recruitment in the Nepal Army (NA), former United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) Chief Ian Martin has said that the NA cannot fill its vacant posts as per the agreement.

Kantipur quoted Martin as saying that it would be against the agreement to make new recruitment in the Nepal Army.

He expressed displeasure over the fact that the Nepal Army continued with the recruitment drive instead of discussing the issue with the joint monitoring committee of the United Nations, the Nepal Army and the CPN-Maoist.

Kathmandu, Jan 29 : Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda has instructed the party''s lawmakers to play an effective role in the Constituent Assembly (CA) and help implement the government''s commitments.

Speaking at the meeting held at the Maoist parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday, Prachanda also conceded that the role of the party had been ineffective in the past because of lack of experience.

Kathmandu, Jan 29 : Nepal Cabinet has promulgated two ordinances, one on forming the investment board and another on Special Economic Zones (SEZ).

Nepalnews quoted government spokesperson and the Minister for Information and Communication Krishna Bahadur Mahara as saying that the government has endorsed two ordinances on investment board and SEZ.
