Imphal, Nov. 21 : A fruit processing plant, established in militancy affected Manipur, has added to the income of many families in the State.

Founded by L. Dikho Mao, the Exotic Juices Limited, which is the biggest fruit processing plant in north-east region, has today changed the fate of many people here.

People in the region have started systematic cultivation of fruits in the region. A non-governmental organization ‘Good Samaritan Social Service Association’, established in 1990, has been playing a pioneering role.

Imphal, Nov. 19 : Having suffered militancy for a long time, people in the north-east are now well aware about the malicious intentions of ultras here.

People from all walks of life in Manipur state are now coming out and showing their disapproval of the highhandedness of the militant groups, as was witnessed in Imphal recently.

Imphal, Nov. 13 : People from all walks of life and different communities recently participated in a massive rally taken out against the recent bomb blasts in Imphal that claimed the lives of many innocent people.

While condemning militancy, the participants in the rally appealed to the government to take tough measures against such elements and restore peace in the state.

A handbag containing Rs 35,000 together with a bank passbook has been found this morning, by a mobile team of the 4th IRB posted at Thenggu Chingjin of Koirenggei led by Jemandar Dikambou.

The team found the blue colour bag lying at Diamond Gali in Imphal’s Paona bazaar around 10.30 am today.
 
After checking the bag thoroughly the IRB group showed the bag to reporters and announced that the real owner could produce suitable proof that the money belongs to him and collect the money.

Imphal, Nov. 8 : Kut, the biggest Kuki-Chin-Mizo-Zomi post harvest festival, was recently celebrated with pomp and gaiety under the aegis of State Level Kut Committee, Manipur at 1st MR ground here.

Over the years, this annual festival has helped in breaking all ethnic and religious barriers and emerged as one of the most popular festivals of Manipur.
