India''s Julan Goswami loses number one spot in Reliance women bowlers rankings

Dubai, Nov. 10 : India captain Jhulan Goswami has slipped off the top of the Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Women’s Rankings for bowlers after a disappointing series against Australia which concluded in Canberra on Sunday.

Goswami took just one wicket in the series which Australia won by 5-0 and has consequently dropped two places to third position behind England’s Isa Guha and Shelley Nitschke of Australia.

Nitschke is one of the five Australia bowlers who are on the charge as Emma Sampson, Lisa Sthalekar, Kirsten Pike and Ellyse Perry have also made good upward movements.

India second in Reliance Mobile ICC Test Championship after series win against Australia

Dubai, Nov. 10 (ANI): The gap between Australia and the rest is cut to 13 ratings points after its 2-0 series defeat to India

India has moved into second place in the Reliance Mobile ICC Test Championship table after regaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy from Australia.

The team wrapped up a 172-run victory on day five of the fourth Test at Nagpur and in the process gained seven ratings points to draw level with South Africa on 116. But Graeme Smith’s team now slips just below India to third position by a fraction of a ratings point.

All is not lost for the Proteas. If they win both Tests in the two-match series coming up against Bangladesh, they will be back into second position.

Sheikh Maktoum to US: Financial crisis is not solved by war

DubaiDubai - The Ruler of the Gulf Arab Emirate of Dubai urged the new US government in a speech on Friday to focus on fixing its economy rather than wars.

"The financial crisis cannot be solved by going to war," said Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al-Maktoum in a the World Economic Forum in Dubai. "We advise the US administration to focus on their economy rather than wars."

Dubai, part of the United Arab of Emirates, and other states in the Gulf Arab region, have opposed any military action against Iran.
