woman-beachLos Angeles, Sep 7 : How much do different sounds affect your mood? New research reveals that certain sounds can have a soothing effect on one's mood, while some can affect negatively too.

The 'sound of waves crashing on a beach' is the most popular and most loved sound by women, with nearly two thirds of the respondents voting for it. This was closely followed by 'birds singing', 'walking in the snow' and 'raindrops falling on a window'.

The study also found that women were twice as likely as men to favour the sweet sound of children laughing, reports femalefirst. co. uk.

Morsi jailed for insulting judiciary

Mohamed-MorsiCairo, Sep 7 : An Egyptian court has jailed ousted president Mohamed Morsi for four days pending investigations over insulting the judiciary, state-run Ahram website reported Saturday.

Morsi, in a televised interview, accused 22 judges of fraud during the 2005 parliamentary elections, Xinhua reported.

He is also accused of attempting to influence the trial of Ahmed Shafiq, his rival in the presidential elections.

Morsi is now serving a renewed 15-day term pending investigations over charges of spying and breaking out of prison during the 2011 turmoil which toppled president Hosni Mubarak.
