The companies also said that they will achieve this by more aggressively marketing smaller sizes, bottled water and diet drinks, the Huffington Post reported.

The announcement was made at the Clinton Global Initiative, where the industry group said that the new commitment will accelerate the calorie-cutting.

French mountain guide Herve Gourdel, 55, was abducted on Monday by IS supporters, who are threatening to behead him unless France stops its offensive against the group.

Valls said on Tuesday on Europe 1 radio that French authorities are "doing everything" to try to free the hostage, but won't negotiate with his captors, News 24 reports.

The Prime Minister added that if France ceded, it would mean handing over victory to the militants.

Damien Chazelle to direct Neil Armstrong biopic

Developed by Universal, the biopic has been scripted by Josh Singer ('The Fifth Estate'), reprotedly.

It is based on the book 'First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong' written by James Hansen who had full access to Armstrong's family as well as NASA when he penned it.

The project has been developed for years. At one point, it was set up at Warner Bros with Clint Eastwood attached to direct and produce. No actor has been announced for the biopic.

General Motors launches new SAIL compact, SAIL sedan

The new SAIL hatchback is priced between Rs 4.41 and Rs 6.81 lakh and the SAIL sedan is priced between Rs 5.19 and Rs 7.64 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the company said in a statement.

Both the models are available in diesel and petrol options. The diesel option is powered by a 1.3 litre engine, while the petrol has a 1.2 litre engine.
