Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan led bidders at the Osian's auction of rare and vintage film memorabilia here as he bought two majestic original posters of 'Mughal-e-Azam' for Rs 6.84 lakh.

Last night's sale, part of the auction house's 'Greatest Indian Show on Earth' series, saw 163 of the 220 lots being sold for Rs 55.60 lakh.

A painting by Arpana Caur 'Pyaar hua, Iqraar hua' showcasing the famous under the umbrella scene of Raj Kapoor and Nargis from 'Shree 420' fetched the highest price of Rs 7.5 lakh followed by an original hand-painted hard board standee of 'Yahudi' with Dilip Kumar and Meena Kumari in their famous embrace which went for Rs 4.8 lakh.

London, Sept 13 : Apple CEO, Tim Cook, has hinted that his company has not lost sight in the consumer durable segment of television.

In an interview given to a television channel, Cook rued how television viewing was still stuck back in the 70s and that there was every possibility of missing a show, the Mashable reported.

Apple Watchers believe that there could be one more product in the offing from the Apple stable before the end of 2014, which most likely include the iPad, but did not rule out an Apple TV update or even an all-new Apple Television set.

New Delhi, Sept 13 : Salman Khan recently unveiled the eighth edition of reality TV show 'Bigg Boss', at an event in Mumbai.

Speaking at the event, Khan said, "The show got better with better contestants. "Bigg Boss" does not depend upon me. The show depends on Endemol, Colors and also the contestants that they choose to get into the house. Better the contestants, the funnier the contestants, the more emotional, the angrier the contestants the better the show and the better me."

However, the 'Kick' actor said he was reluctant to host the show this year as it was too tiring but later on stated that he chose to be a part of the season eight as he liked the format.

London, Sep 13 : England cricket star Moeen Ali has urged young British Muslims not to join the extremist group Islamic State (IS).

Ali said it was "worrying" that hundreds of Britons had joined the brutal group abroad, Express. co. uk reports.

The 27 year old devout Muslim said that the IS' actions were not reflective of Islam and condemned the group for killing members of other religions.

Earlier, Ali had a tough time dealing with authorities after he was questioned for flaunting "Save Gaza" and "Free Palestine" wristbands during the Third Test against India.
