Washington, Jun 9 : American film director Francis Ford Coppola has defended late actor Marlon Brando's reputation by saying he was not bad, but just a misunderstood eccentric.

Coppola, 70, had cast Brando in two of his most famous roles as mafia boss Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather and Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now.

And he insists that Brando's reputation as a difficult diva was unfair.

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are the latest couple to sizzle around the industry. Well it was recently reported that Shahid has opted out from performing a song with PC from their upcoming film ‘Kaminey’ in IIFA Awards.

The handsome hunk is busy with his commitment of Ken Ghosh flick. On the other side the vivacious actress is busy shooting in Singapore for Yash Raj movie Pyar Impossible.

“Priyanka was very eager to perform on the song from Kaminey but due to her prior commitments to Yash Raj, she won’t be performing this year,” says a person close to Priyanka.

Helsinki - The Finnish economy showed no signs of rebounding in the first-quarter 2009, according to statistics published Tuesday.

Preliminary data compiled by Statistics Finland suggested that the gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 2.7 per cent in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the fourth quarter of 2008.

The slide was on par with the decline registered during the downturn that hit the Nordic country in the early 1990s. During the first quarter of 1991, GDP fell 2.7 per cent compared to the last quarter of 1990, the agency said.

Washington, Jun 9 : American actress Heather Graham has revealed that she is ever grateful for her role in `The Guru' as it taught her about the joys of tantric sex.

Graham, 39, learnt the techniques to increase pleasure during lovemaking while filming the movie in 2002, playing the part of a porn actress who coaches a sex expert.

The actress admits that she has been a fan of the method ever since, and uses it to improve her performance in the bedroom.

Dublin - The Irish government coalition faced a parliamentary vote of no confidence Tuesday, after its abysmal performance in the European and local elections.

The two-day debate will be an opportunity for the Fine Gael opposition to repeat its calls for a general election.
