The International Cricket Council (ICC) is considering the option of hosting matches of Pakistan's share of 2011 World Cup in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as demanded by Pakistan Cricket Board.

ICC president David Morgan said that the matches of Pakistan' share could be relocated among India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka but we are also considering other option of shifting these matches to another country.

Pakistan was removed as co-host of the ICC World Cup 2011 due to security concerns after terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team in Lahore. Pakistan has threatened to move to court against this decision of ICC.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has lifted ban on 14 players who recently ended their contracts with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL) with a cooling period of one year for their selection in the national team.

The BCB had offered amnesty to the 14 ICL players on condition that they will end their contracts with the unofficial ICL before June 15. These players can now play in domestic cricket tournaments of Bangladesh but they will be considered for national team only after cooling period of one year.

London, June 17 : A new study has shown that male and female baboons form platonic friendships. But while the females clearly benefit, it is a mystery what males get from such relationships.

In the study, researchers found that having a caring friend around appears to benefit the females and their infants, as both are harassed less by other baboons when in the company of their male pal.

However, why the males choose to be platonic friends remains a mystery.

Sri Lanka has defeated New Zealand by 48 runs yesterday at Trent Bridge and advanced to the semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup.

New Zealand batsmen struggled against the spin of mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis as Mendis took three wickets for just 9 runs in his four overs and New Zealand team returned to pavilion for 110 runs on the board in 17 overs and lost the match by 48 runs.

Only three batsmen of New Zealand team were able to reach in double figures and M Guptill was top scorer for New Zealand, who scored 43 runs.

Nothing is going right for the Indian team as India lost their last super eight match against South Africa. India had already crashed out and this was India's third consecutive defeat in the super eight round of the ICC T20 World Cup.

South Africa set target of 131 runs for India after South African skipper Grame Smith won the toss and elected to bat first against India. The man of the match AB de Villiers scored 63 runs in just 51 balls.
