London, June 9 : Tennis great Roger Federer, who cemented his place in the history books as he became only the sixth man to complete a full set of major titles, believes Andy Murray's maiden major title could come at Wimbledon next month.

Federer is a strong favourite to win Wimbledon this year after he equalled Pete Sampras' overall record of 14 grand slam titles by winning French Open.

Federer knows that reclaiming his crown will not be easy, especially with Murray improving fast. "Andy Murray's best surface might be grass - I think he's playing excellent," The Guardian quoted him, as saying.

Berlin  - German retail group Arcandor intends to file for insolvency, government sources said Tuesday, a day after Berlin refused to give it state-backed credit.

The government turned down the group's request for 437 million euros (603 million dollars) to tide it over while it merges its Karstadt department stores with the Kaufhof chain operated by a rival.

Washington, June 9 : Researchers at the University of Michigan in the US have found the first archeological evidence of human activity preserved beneath the Great Lakes.

The researchers located what they believe to be caribou-hunting structures and camps used by the early hunters of the period more than 100 feet deep in Lake Huron, on a wide stoney ridge that 9,000 years ago was a land bridge.

New Delhi, June 9 : Seven years after it was shut down, a nude bathing house in China's Sichuan province has reopened.

The bathing house, situated in the Yuping Mountain Scenic Spot, had to be closed following a social outcry.

Now that it has reopened, its developers say that they only "wished to allow tourists the pleasure of intimate contact with nature," and have no intentions of challenging public opinion of nude bathing.

New Delhi - India's economy can regain 9-per-cent annual growth rate levels even amid the global recession, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Tuesday.

During a debate in parliament, Singh exuded confidence that the domestic economy will expand by at least 7 per cent during the current financial year.

The growth rate could reach between 8 to 9 per cent, helped by higher government expenditure.
