London, June 17 : Scientists have found the fossil of a previously undiscovered dinosaur resembling a giant parrot in Mongolia.

According to a report in the Telegraph, the new dino, named Psittacosaurus gobiensis, meaning `parrot lizzard', is thought to have lived about 110 million years ago.

Psittacosaurs are noted for being the most species-rich dinosaur genus with at least nine different species, including the latest found in the Gobi Desert, a famous dinosaur graveyard.

Sana'a, Yemen - Yemen's Interior Ministry said on Wednesday it has expanded the search for six Western hostages and their kidnappers to three provinces surrounding the volatile north-western province of Saada where they were abducted five days ago.

"Security forces in the provinces of al-Jawf, Amran, and Hajjah are now partaking in the search," the ministry said in a statement.

It said police forces have closed all roads leading to Saada to prevent the kidnappers from moving the hostages.

Washington, June 17 : Scientists have created a new fabricated material that changes color instantly in response to external magnetic field, which could pave the way for manufacturing rewritable color display units and environmentally friendly color paints.

A research team, led by a chemist at the University of California, Riverside, created the material.

To fabricate the microspheres, the researchers first mixed magnetic iron oxide particles into a resin, which is initially in liquid phase but later turns solid on exposure to ultraviolet curable resin.

They then dispersed the resin solution in oil, whereupon the resin transformed into spherical droplets in the oil.

According to a report in New Scientist, like other hydrogen cars, the Riversimple Urban Car (RUC) is powered by a fuel cell that combines hydrogen with oxygen from the air to release energy and nothing more toxic than water.
