Washington, June 22 : Pakistan's ambassador to the United States, Husain Haqqani, has urged Washington to continue aiding Pakistan's fight against terrorism, as it would only be an investment in US security.

"There is room for greater investment from both the private sector and non-governmental organisations. Building up Pakistan and its people will be effective in protecting the world against terrorism," the Daily Times quoted Haqqani, as saying.

Sydney - The Australian parliament censured opposition Liberal Party leader Malcolm Turnbull for bashing the Labor government over what turned out to be a fake email purporting to show abuse of office by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Treasurer Wayne Swan.

But Monday's vote, which went along party lines, carries no weight in the Canberra parliament.

Rudd had been accused of abusing his office to help a used-car salesman and of shielding Swan from parliamentary scrutiny over his dealings with Brisbane car dealer John Grant.

Islamabad, June 22 : Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik has asked the Taliban to leave the country, as Pakistan's military's offensive would not stop until every insurgent is eliminated from the nation's soil.

The Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying, that Pakistan had long said `no' to the Taliban, and now they must leave Pakistan, adding that the Taliban were neither Muslims nor Pakistanis.

Malik said the entire nation was ready to defend the country against terrorism, and the days of the Taliban were numbered.

New York, June 22 : An Afghan journalist who was held captive by the Taliban for more than seven months along with a New York Times reporter has revealed details of their night time escape.

Afghan journalist Tahir Ludin said that the escape plan included weeks of careful plotting, taking advantage of weary guards and dropping down a 20-foot wall with a rope.

London, June 22 : To deal with a Mumbai-style terrorist attack, British Police and hotel staff are being trained to ward off danger in the crucial first 30 minutes, amid growing concern that extremists may target venues in London and other western cities.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Counter-Terrorism Command have visited India to learn lessons from the attacks, which killed 173 people and wounded 308 over the course of three days in November last year.

Tel Aviv - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to depart for Italy and France on Tuesday for his first trip to Europe since taking office nearly three months ago.

He is scheduled to meet Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in Rome on Tuesday, before travelling to Paris for talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy the following day.
