Comedian Amy Schumer shows her somber side

On Sunday, comedian Amy Schumer displayed her somber side when she was seen with Sen. Chuck Schumer to ask for stricter gun control laws. The ‘Trainwreck’ actress said the issue was quite personal for her since July, when a madman went into a Louisiana theater and started firing during her movie.

Schumer said, “I don't know why he picked my movie but it's something I live with every day and I vowed to never forget two lives that were tragically lost: Jillian Johnson, 33, and Mayci Breaux, 21. These women are forever in my heart”.

Sen. Charles Schumer, cousin of the actress, said that he has planned to launch a fresh push for getting Congress to vote on ‘common-sense’ gun legislation in early next year.
