A research team has identified a new huge raptor fossil that dates back to 66 million years and would have roamed in the western Dakotas. Researchers have found it in far northwestern South Dakota and dubbed Dakotaraptor.

The fossil from the Hell Creek Formation is believed to be nearly 17 feet long, which has made it one of the largest raptors or dinosaur specimen with wings ever discovered in the world.

Raptors got popularized by ‘Jurassic Park’ movies, and are famous for being fast, nimble, small dinosaurs with stiff tails and feet having wicked sickle-like claws of 10 inches.

Dakotaraptor would have been quite big to fly but feathers would make it the biggest dinosaur found with wings till date.

Latest photographs have shown the less spooky side of the huge asteroid that has flown past Earth on Halloween. The 2,000-foot-wide asteroid 2015 TB145 was looking amazingly like a huge skull in radar images taken by Puerto Rico's Arecibo Observatory on October 30.

But, the space rock didn’t seem so haunting in the latest pictures captured on October 31, when 2015 TB145 travelled within 300,000 miles of Earth, which was nearly 1.3 times the distance from the Earth to the moon.

Scientists for the first time ever successfully measured the force of interaction between pairs of antiprotons. Physicists used a giant particle collider on Long Island, N.Y., to make antimatter and studied is with the help of a huge detector.

Aihong Tang, a researcher at Brookhaven National Laboratory said that every single thing on earth is made up of matter starting from your laptop to your desk and chair everything is ordinary matter. But every fundamental particle of matter has an antimatter nemesis lurking in the shadows.

Joel Fajans, a researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, said, “We actually don't understand why antimatter is as rare as it actually is. The Big Bang should have produced just as much matter as anti-matter, but it didn't”.

The US Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base announced that an experimental rocket belonging to a new bred of expandable launchers has failed in its maiden flight on Tuesday.

As per officials, the rocket was launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Kauai at 7:45 pm Pacific Standard Time. The 67-foot-long rocket crashed within one minute of its flight.
