The chief medical officer of the UK has issued a warning that one of the oldest sexually transmittable diseases in the world is likely to eventually become untreatable. The BBC reported that Dame Sally Davies said that Gonorrhoea may become untreatable, and has written to pharmacies and GPs to make sure they prescribe the right drugs for it.

She became concerned about the disease after cases of ‘super-gonorrhoea’ emerged in Leeds previously this year.

The Cleveland Circle Chipotle Mexican Grill, due to which 136 Boston College students got sick with norovirus, has received permission to reopen over the holiday weekend. The permission has been given nearly 3 weeks after it was forced to shut down by Boston health officials.

On Wednesday, Chipotle received permission to once again serve and sell food, but a water leak further postponed the reopening of the restaurant.

While speaking to the Boston Globe, Chipotle spokesperson Chris Arnold said that they didn't have to do anything besides fixing the leak and any linked damage.

UCLA researchers have come up with a light-weight impressively strong metal, using magnesium and silicon carbide nanoparticles. The team of researchers has said that the metal created by using silicon carbide nanoparticles on molten magnesium has an amazing strength-to-weight ratio.

The availability of magnesium is abundant due to which the commercial production of the metal is possible. As per ULCA team, the metal can bring in a revolution in sectors, including automobile, aviation, manufacturing and construction. As the metal is light in weight, thus it can be used in automobiles for enhancing their fuel efficiency.

Although it was a rare lunar spectacle that is not going to occur until 2034, a major portion of the US could not witness it due to unexpected clouds. In these areas, the full moon was enveloped by clouds, but there were some locations in the country where clear skies allowed people see moon turning into a spectacular Christmas treat.

NASA scientists are continuously receiving photos and data on Pluto that the New Horizons spacecraft captured during a flyby in July this year. A new set of images beamed back by the probe are some of the sharpest images we have ever seen of the dwarf planet.

NASA said the images with a resolution of about 250-280 feet per pixel exposing to Pluto’s view diverse surface. Cratered, mountainous and glacial terrains of the dwarf planet are clearly visible in new pictures.

Alan Stern. John Grunsfeld, Principal Investigator of New Horizons and associate administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, said, “These new images give us a breathtaking, super-high resolution window into Pluto’s geology. We continue to be amazed by what we see”.
